On February 23, I attended the documentary Is Genesis History? After the movie, for those interested, I handed out pamphlets with information about the San Antonio Bible Based Science Association.1 I handed out all of the pamphlets that I had. For those of you that have not seen it or heard about it, this movie supports the biblical creation account and Noah’s flood from a scientific perspective. It looks at biology, geology, astronomy, the fossil evidence, language, and the ancient…..
Most of us have heard about the recent incident of Breitbart editor Milo Yiannopoulos not getting to speak at the University of California-Berkeley because of rioting by the students in a successful attempt to shut down free speech.1 Yiannopoulos even describes how students inviting him are forced to pay for security. This is nuts. I of course am a Bible believing Christian and maintain that homosexuality is a sin that needs to be repented of, just as I need to…..
Update: Below is the link to our Roe V. Wade broadcast which was January 21, 2017. http://www.kslr.com/believingthebible Sunday, January 22, marks the 44th Anniversary of Roe v. Wade. Something that really pulls my chain is when pro-choice people say that my opinion on abortion does not count – or I do not even deserve to have an opinion – because I am a man. The implication is that I am out running around getting women pregnant and leaving women to…..
A recently aired Mysteries at the Museum episode – titled “Mysteries at the Kremlin” – featured a segment about Russian scientist Ilya Ivanov cross breeding animals using artificial insemination.1 Ivanov was a pioneering scientist. The segment describes how he crossed a zebra and a donkey and got a zedonk.2 But the story goes on to describe how Ivanov tried to cross humans with chimpanzees. As nutty as this sounds to me and I think most people with common sense,…..
The January 2017 issue of National Geographic features what is truly a very sad situation. Avery Jackson is featured as a 9 year old “transgender girl.”1 This is extremely sad on several accounts. First it is very sad that a young boy (That is right, I said boy.) would be so confused. What is even sadder is the state of our society, exemplified by National Geographic. Because of political correctness, and denial that there is truth, young Avery is not…..
These past few days, three notable people that I obviously did not know personally, but know about, passed away – Florence Henderson, Ron Glass, and Fidel Castro. I was really into the Brady Bunch when it originally aired. So of course, to me Florence Henderson was Carol Brady; although I understand she was an accomplished performer.1 Ron Glass was a very fine actor that I remember as Detective Ron Harris on the show Barney Miller. But Ron Glass really displayed…..
Without doubt, all of Hillary’s lying and scandals was the deciding factor in this close election – from her blaming Benghazi on an internet video1 to the Clinton Foundation’s “Pay to Play.”2 Hillary Clinton will unlikely be prosecuted for any of her actions. But her losing the presidency was her punishment. I do not know if this is a direct punishment from God, or it is just a natural consequence of sin. Yes, that is right. I used the “s”…..
Fox News recently aired the movie “Killing Reagan.” Of all of the “Killing” movies on Fox News, “Killing Reagan” is the one where the titled character was not actually killed. It is also the one event portrayal that I can actually remember. I was too young to remember the Kennedy assassination. At the end of the movie, Nancy Reagan pled with her husband to take advice from an astrologer with the belief he could avoid getting shot again. The president…..
Recently I saw a “Rights at Risk” episode on Stossel. John Stossel was debating with Democratic consultant Jessica Tarlov on a segment called “The Rights of Entrepreneurs.”1 First, Tarlov was defending “anti-discrimination” laws which are to force Christian bakers to cater same-sex “weddings.” Next, Tarlov was defending laws that are to force Christian employers to provide birth control (that would include abortifacients). Tarlov stated: “It is a right now to have that!” while pointing at birth control pills that John…..
I think most of us are familiar with the “There’s good news and bad news.” That is what I was thinking when I was looking at the stories on Bing on Thursday. I will start out with the bad news. The bad news is Vermont’s woman’s basketball team cancelled a scheduled game against the University of North Carolina.1 They canceled it is because North Carolina has enough sense to know that men should use men’s restrooms and locker rooms and…..
